Karakas is a design communication agency based in Belgium. They focus on combining strategic thinking and innovative design for environment and government associations.

- Designed projects across the entire product lifecycle and through multiple launches
- Integrated well with the team by communicating and perceiving needs effectively to consult on branding, print, and web design
- Adapted process and kept up momentum for projects varying in due dates, software, style guides, and feedback.
Some of these projects offered limited context or assets which required more guidance and communication with project manager and the client to align on expectations.
How to express what you want when you’re not a designer.
Many of our clients were shifting into digital marketing, some with limited knowledge of design. Especially in a remote setting, it’s crucial to communicate clearly to understand the client’s goals, and show how your solutions add value in their language.
Going beyond the brief, clients needed someone to show them what they need to do.
- Sync with Project Manager to design solutions from content briefs, wireframes, and lo- and hi-fidelty prototypes.
- Collaborate with leadership to create strategy and content for new branding initiatives & web updates.
- Smooth handoff process with dev and freelancers to ensure less discrepancies between prototype and published product.
- Developed rapport with colleagues across the organization and clients for a trustworthy and harmonious workflow.
